Arts & Technology Virtual Learning Saturday Program

An event every week that begins at 8:00 am on Saturday, repeating until December 19, 2020
Students will experience multicultural visual arts, performing arts, and language arts through virtual learning. Activities will include drawing and painting, African drumming, dance, fashion design, digital art, and music technology, and a visit to the New Britain Museum of American Art. Classes are taught by certified teachers, professional artists, and performers. Parents are invited to share in their child’s experience during a closing presentation on December 19 at 11:45 AM.
The program is funded through the CT State Department of Education with the support of the Farmington, Hartford, New Britain and Plainville Public Schools, and Tunxis Community College.
Section A – Grades 2-3
Section B – Grades 4-5
Section C – Grades 6-7
Section D – Grades 8-9
Supplies are included and will be distributed to registrants before the start of the program.
Internet access and a computer or Chromebook with a camera and microphone are required for each participating student.
Instruction will take place through Zoom. Registrants will receive an email from Farmington Continuing Education (firstname.lastname@example.org) containing a link and instructor information before the start of the course.
