Behind the Scenes Tour: From Hoopskirts to Flappers

A woman born in 1850 who lived for 80 years would have seen fashion change dramatically in her lifetime. In this special tour of our Costume and Textile Collection, you’ll see how women’s clothing transitioned from the iron reign of the hoopskirt to the relative freedom of the flapper dress.
$10 for CHS members, $15 for non-members. Advance registration is strongly recommended: space is limited! Buy tickets online.
