Coffee Hour | The Flu Pandemic of 1918

August 14, 2020 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Free

In 1918-1919, the world experienced a lethal outbreak of influenza that took the lives of millions. What was it like to live through the Influenza Pandemic of 1918? We’ll look at archival images, letters, and newspapers to explore this topic, including sources left by Connecticans who experienced the flu first-hand.

This program is free and spaces are limited. To secure a spot, register with Yapsody: https://bit.ly/3fPvyn3. You’ll receive an email confirmation and receipt with the link to the Zoom meeting. At noon of the day of the program, you’ll get a reminder email from CHS with the link as well. Please do not share that link with anyone! It’s unique to you. Our virtual coffee hours have been really popular! Program topics that fill up will be repeated later in the spring or summer.

If you would like to make a donation to help the CHS keep history alive through this difficult time, please click here: https://bit.ly/3anmHax. Or, to learn about the benefits of museum membership, click here! http://bit.ly/2pJuInX
