Seeking Refuge: Exile to Mexico During the Second World War

United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Fellow Dr. Aleksandra Pomiecko discusses her research on the events during the Holocaust in Mexico, illustrating its role in international relations and its policies on accepting European refugees from Nazi-occupied Europe.

Dr. Pomiecko is currently an Associate at the Mandel Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. Prior to this she received her doctoral degree at the University of Toronto. Her research focuses on irregular war and conflict in the twentieth century, particularly through transnational perspectives.
